Stage 4 · Lesson 6 of 7
Track it simply
Seeing your progress helps. A simple tracker, like a calendar where you tick each day, a page in a notebook or a small table in Notion, makes the habit visible and gives a small reward when you mark it. Track only one to three habits; more becomes a chore.
Track whether you showed up, not how well you did. Look back once a week to see the pattern, such as which days you miss and why. Avoid apps that punish you with broken streaks so heavily that one missed day makes you quit. If tracking itself starts causing stress or becomes the goal, simplify or stop.
Common trapbuilding an elaborate tracking system with colours and dashboards and spending more time on the system than on the habit.
