Most developers now use AI tools: 84% in the 2025 Stack Overflow survey used or planned to use them, and Google's 2025 report found about 90% of tech professionals using AI at work. Some employers now treat adoption as a selection criterion; Accenture said in 2025 it would exit staff it could not reskill for AI.
So not using these tools is a risk in itself. Use them every day on real tasks: tests, , first drafts, explaining unfamiliar code, reviewing your own changes. First read your company's AI policy.

Common trapeither refusing the tools on principle or using unapproved ones with company code.
