Stage 6 · Lesson 6 of 6
Act on one thing and close the loop
Feedback is only useful if something changes. Pick one pattern, not five, and choose a small, visible action: speak once in each meeting, send a summary after group calls, ask a question before giving an opinion. Do it for a month.
Then go back to the person who raised it and say what you tried and ask whether they noticed any difference. This does two things. It tells you whether the change worked, and it shows people that giving you feedback is worth it, so they will be more honest next time. Many people never close the loop, so doing it stands out.
Common trapcollecting feedback, feeling bad about it and changing nothing, which leaves you with the pain and none of the benefit.
