Stage 7 · Lesson 6 of 6
Written updates that get noticed
Regular written updates make your work visible without needing to speak in every meeting. A weekly update to your manager or project group, three to five bullet points on what you finished, what is next and where you need help, keeps people informed and creates a record for reviews.
Design documents and short proposals let you make your case in writing before a meeting, so the discussion starts from your idea. Teams that work across time zones often depend on this kind of writing. Google's free technical writing courses are a good start.
Common trapassuming good work speaks for itself; often nobody sees it unless you write it down.
A question to check yourself come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
