Speaking and being heard

Stage 6 · Lesson 5 of 7

A 15-minute daily routine

Speaking English as a second language

Short daily practice beats occasional long sessions. A routine that fits into a busy day: five minutes of shadowing a BBC Learning English clip, five minutes speaking about your day or a technical topic out loud (record it once a week), and five minutes learning a few useful phrases and saying them in sentences.

Once a week, have a real conversation in English with a friend, study partner or language exchange. Speaking with an AI assistant by voice can also help for practice when no one is around, as long as you do not rely on it for correction alone.

Common trapwaiting for a course or the perfect app, when 15 minutes with free material every day works.
