Speaking and being heard

Stage 4 · Lesson 6 of 7

Follow up in writing

Meetings, stand-ups and online calls

If you did not manage to say something in a meeting, or you thought of a better point afterwards, it is not too late. Send a short message after: "After today's meeting I thought about the caching question. One option is..."

Following up with a short summary of decisions and next steps is also valued, especially when no one else does it. This is where quieter people and second-language speakers can shine, because you can think and edit before sending.

Common trapreplaying the meeting in your head all evening, wishing you had spoken, instead of writing the two lines that would still make your point.

A question to check yourself and an AI practice session come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
