Stage 6 · Lesson 5 of 6
Family as support, when it works
For many people, family is their strongest support, and sharing a struggle with a parent, sibling or cousin brings real relief. For others, family may worry too much, judge, or not understand student or career problems. Both can be true at once in the same family.
Think about who in your family is good at which kind of help: one may listen well, another may give practical help, another may help with money. You can choose what to share with whom. If family conflict about your path is the main issue, the family expectations roadmap at /roadmaps/family-expectations/ covers it.
Common trapassuming you cannot tell anyone in your family anything, when one person might surprise you.
A question to check yourself and an AI practice session come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
