Stage 5 · Lesson 7 of 7
Writing as a backup
If speaking up in the moment is hard, writing is a powerful way to be heard. After a meeting, send a short message: "One more thought on the plan: ...". Before a class, email a question.
In group work, write a short summary of decisions and share it. Clear writing often carries more weight than spoken comments because people can reread it and forward it. Keep it short, lead with the main point, and use simple words.
This is not a replacement for building speaking confidence, but it means your ideas are not lost while you practise.
Common trapusing writing to avoid speaking forever. Use it alongside your ladder, not instead of it.
