What confidence really is
Confidence is not a personality type or a feeling you wait for. It grows from doing things, often while still nervous. Start by understanding impostor feelings and where your own doubt comes from.
Start: Confidence, self-esteem and arroganceLessons· one lesson for each topic, in this order
Do this
- Write your own definition of confidence in two sentences
- Name the impostor thought you hear most often
- Write two messages about ability or mistakes you grew up with
- List five situations where you hold back and rank them from easiest to hardest
- Pick one small action from the easiest item and do it this week

Also worth your time
Before moving on: A short note in your own words on what confidence is and is not, the impostor thought you hear most, two messages about ability you grew up with, and a ranked list of five situations where you hold back.

Confidence is built, not discovered. You do not need to become a different person; you need a lot of small, slightly uncomfortable actions and a fair record of how they went. Most of the people who seem confident to you are nervous too. They have simply practised acting while nervous.
