Stage 1 · Lesson 5 of 6
Where you hold back
Low confidence shows less in what you feel and more in what you avoid. Make an honest list of where you hold back: not asking questions in class, not applying for roles you are nearly qualified for, staying quiet in meetings, not sharing your work online, not asking for feedback, saying yes when you mean no.
For each, note what you fear will happen and what it costs you to keep avoiding it. This list becomes your map for the rest of the roadmap. You will not tackle everything; you will pick a few items and practise them in small steps.
Common trapmaking the list so long that it becomes another reason to feel bad. Keep it to the five that matter most to you.
