Stage 7 · Lesson 6 of 7
Most choices can be changed
Many decisions feel permanent when they are not. You can change electives, switch roles inside a company, move into a different field after a few years or study later. Some decisions are harder to reverse, such as a large loan or a long contract, and deserve more care.
For the rest, waiting has its own cost: months of worry, missed chances and no new information. A useful question is: what is the worst realistic outcome, and could I recover from it? If yes, decide with the information you have, and plan when you will review.
People who change direction once or twice in their twenties are common, and many of them say the early path taught them what they needed.
Common traptreating every choice as final and freezing.
