Stage 4 · Lesson 7 of 7
When feelings are too much to handle alone
Self-awareness is not a treatment. If you have felt low, empty or hopeless most days for two weeks or more, lost interest in things you used to enjoy, cannot sleep or eat normally, or find it hard to get through your day, that deserves real help, not more journaling.
Talk to someone you trust and to a doctor, counsellor or psychologist. The Looking after your mental health roadmap at /roadmaps/mental-health/ explains the signs and how to find help, including in Pakistan and India. If you ever think about harming yourself or feel you are in danger, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line now; Find A Helpline lists free lines by country, and in India you can call Tele-MANAS on 14416. Asking for help is a strength, not a failure.
A question to check yourself come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
