Mapping and functions

Make in depth

Make has built-in for cleaning data on its way between modules. The itself is done by dragging: you drag items from earlier modules into a field. Each one shows as a pill, such as 1.email, where 1 is the module number.

Around those pills you can add functions from the mapping panel. Text functions such as lower and trim fix case and spaces. ifempty gives a fallback when a value is blank.

formatDate and parseDate handle dates. Math and array functions, such as map, get and length, work on numbers and lists. Separate a function's inputs with semicolons, not commas. This cleans data without extra modules, which also saves .

Common trapa date that looks right in testing but is in the wrong , because formatDate uses the 's time zone unless you give one.
