Headline
Your is the line next to your name. It appears everywhere: in search results, under every comment and on every . That makes it the most-read line you own.
The default, such as "Student at X University" or "Software Engineer at Y", says nothing about what you do. A stronger pattern is role, niche and proof, written in the words search for. For example: " engineer | Payments APIs | Cut checkout latency by 40%".
It comes straight from the you wrote in the previous stage. Put the most important words first, because phones and search results cut long headlines short. Avoid titles you cannot back up, such as "Senior" when you are not. Skip vague labels like "tech enthusiast" too.
