Handling rejection and setbacks

Stage 4 · Lesson 4 of 7

When they never reply

Internship and job rejections

Being ghosted, hearing nothing after applying or even after a call, is common and it hurts in its own way because there is no closure. It usually reflects how busy or disorganised a hiring team is, not a secret judgement on you. Send one polite follow-up a week or so after the date they gave, or two weeks after applying, then mark it as closed in your tracker and move on. Do not send repeated messages or angry ones; the hiring world is small.

Common trapwaiting for one company for weeks and pausing other applications because "this one looked promising".
