Stage 4 · Lesson 1 of 7
Why most applications end in no
A single opening can attract hundreds of applicants, and only one person gets it. Many rejections have nothing to do with you: the role was filled internally, the budget was cut, the team wanted someone in a specific city, or the reviewer spent seconds on each CV.
So the useful question is not "did I get this one?" but "out of my last 30 applications, how many moved forward?" Like any funnel, you improve it by looking at numbers across many attempts.
Common traptreating each rejection as a personal verdict, which makes you stop after five when most people need dozens before the first offer.
