Knowing yourself: strengths, values and what you actually want

Stage 3 · Lesson 7 of 7

Living your values in small ways

Values, and what you want vs what is expected

Values only matter if they show up in what you do. Look at last week: your calendar, your phone screen time, where your money went. Which values did your time actually serve?

Most people find a gap, for example valuing health and sleeping five hours, or valuing learning and spending evenings scrolling. The fix is small, specific actions, not a new life. For each of your top five values, write one action you could take this week that takes under an hour: call your grandmother, go for a walk, finish one lesson, help a junior. Do them, and notice how it feels.

Common trapwaiting for a big decision, like a new career, to start living your values, when most of them can show up on an ordinary Tuesday.
