Stage 3 · Lesson 6 of 7
When your values clash
Values often pull against each other. Security and adventure, family and independence, money and meaning, faith and a career that keeps late hours. A clash does not mean you have the wrong values; it means you have to make trade-offs, and those can change with the season of your life.
A useful question is: what matters most for the next two to three years, not forever? A student supporting younger siblings may rank security first for now and adventure later, and that is a choice, not a failure. Write your two most conflicting values and what each one asks of you.
Common trappretending there is a perfect option that satisfies every value at once, and freezing until you find it.
