Stage 4 · Lesson 3 of 6
Where to find mentors
Mentors are closer than you think. Start with people you already know: teachers, seniors, alumni of your university, relatives in your field, managers at internships. Then widen: tech community events, LinkedIn, open source projects and free mentoring platforms such as ADPList.
Programmes such as LFX Mentorship and Google Summer of Code pair learners with experienced maintainers on real projects. On Sefism, you can ask Tauseef a question at /account/ask/ when you need a direct answer. Look for people one to five years ahead of you rather than only very senior leaders; they reply more often and their advice is more current.
Common traponly messaging famous people with huge followings, who cannot answer everyone.
A question to check yourself and an AI practice session come when you add the roadmap to your account. Add it
