Stage 4 · Lesson 5 of 6
Asking good questions
Mentors give better help when you ask better questions. A good question shows what you already tried, gives enough context, and asks something specific: "I am choosing between a data science internship and a backend one. I enjoy both.
Which would leave more options open in two years, and why?" Before a meeting, write your questions in order of importance, and take notes during it. After, try what they suggested and tell them what happened. That last step is what turns one conversation into a relationship.
Common trapasking questions you could have answered with a quick search. It uses their time on things you could do yourself.
