Stage 4 · Lesson 2 of 6
Many small mentors
Instead of one big mentor, build a small personal board: a senior student for course choices, a working engineer for career questions, a teacher for research, someone from your background who moved abroad, a peer who is a little ahead in the same skill.
Each gives you a different view, and none carries too much weight. Some will be one conversation; some will become long relationships. Books, talks and online creators can also mentor you at a distance, as long as you remember they do not know your situation.
Common traprelying on a single voice for every decision, especially an online voice that has never met you.
