Stage 7 · Lesson 3 of 7
Contributing to home on your terms
In many families, sending money home or supporting parents and siblings is expected and is also something you want to do. It helps to agree it openly rather than let it become a source of guilt or resentment. Decide what you can contribute regularly while still saving and building your career, and say it clearly: a fixed amount each month, paying a sibling's fees, covering a specific bill.
Being reliable with a clear amount often earns more trust than giving everything until you burn out. If your family's needs are bigger than your income, say so honestly and plan together.
Common trapgiving with no limit and no savings, until you cannot follow any path, including theirs.
