Repair takes time, and often happens
Many families who disagree strongly about a career or marriage come back together over months or years. Parents see their child is safe, respected and still loving; grandchildren arrive; a younger sibling makes a choice that softens things; people simply grow older.
Keep the door open: call on Eid, Diwali, birthdays or whatever matters in your family, share good news, ask after their health, and do not demand an apology first. You do not have to accept mistreatment to keep the door open.
Common trapdeciding that because they did not support you, the relationship is finished. For most people, family ties are long, and the story is not over.
